Characters with schizophrenia?

I am writing a story, in it there is a character suffering from schizophrenia. The problem is how do I portray this in the character, how do I show this in her behavior and the way she talks, and what she thinks. Also does anyone have any tips for writing a female character like this. The character also was inspired by Pamela Vorhees if that helps. Thank you.
