Need breastfeeding tips...?
The best advice I can give you is just don't give up. Breastfeeding is tough for both mom & baby to get the hang of. I dealt with basically 45 seconds of help from a lactation consultant, cracked bleeding nipples, pumping, my milk supply going on a roller coaster of having enough & having almost none...my son is 6 months & I'm still breastfeeding. You just have to try & keep calm. if you get upset, your baby will too. I know at first it feels like you need 3 hands to hold the baby, the breast, & those little hands that roam all over & sabotage your attempts, but if you keep trying & don't offer formula, eventually it will be a breeze. When it gets hard, remember how nursing your baby is the best & the natural nutrition, it's free, & it's a special task that only you are capable of doing. If you pump, you need to do so at least every 2 hours or as often as your baby usually feeds.
