My speakers are plugged to my cd player in my car but there is no sound coming out are only making crackling?

they just make a crackling noise when i touch the wire to it........I even took my front door speaker out and plugged it directly to my cd excluding the harness but still the same thing.....my speakers work because I plugged them to my amp to test it and they work.
